MARGIE LOVE IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE WHO DOES NOT ACCEPT CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS!
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR MARGIE LOVE:
She believes in police reform and fully funding the police department.
Margie believes in police reform with uniform local, state and national policies, procedures and accountability put in place.
She believes that our police department in North Miami Beach should continue to be fully funded with additional funds allocated for the purpose of bringing those police reforms to fruition. As has always been done within the NMB Police Department, a zero tolerance for violators of these reform policies and procedures would be strictly enforced.
She has YOUR best interests at heart.
She is running for North Miami Beach City Commissioner, Seat #6. She is running at her own expense, never accepting campaign contributions.
She is part of YOUR community.
Margie Love has lived in North Miami Beach, for 37 years.
She lives in a culturally diverse neighborhood and has always embraced cultural diversity.
She helps when she sees a need.
She has a strong work ethic.
In nearly five decades, she has missed only one day of work.
As your elected representative, she will tirelessly work for you!
She believes in service to the community.
She has been involved with feeding the homeless at her own home and at the Camillus House.
She wrote and facilitated a Saturday school program to teach Hispanic and Haitian families in how to help their children to be successful in school from an early age.
She co-chaired “Hearts to Haiti” and helped students to raise $6,000 in two weeks, which we sent to benefit earthquake victims in Haiti.
She has volunteered for the Lions club where she was involved in taking needy NMB students shopping for school uniforms and supplies and the purchasing of gifts to the elderly in nursing homes.
She is a leader!
She started RAPP (Residents’ and Police Presence) and held monthly meetings with crime prevention experts from all over south Florida. Residents from all of North Miami Beach benefited.
During her leadership service with RAPP, with the assistance of local businesses, she has law honored enforcement from our city and all over South Florida, on designated police holidays.
She promoted the public safety 2000 bond issue which resulted in the construction of our new police station.
She assisted our NMB police department with achieving and keeping their prestigious accreditation.
As block captain, she continues to be the neighborhood crime watch Matriarch of her community.
She began a branch of Youth Crime Watch and marched nearly a thousand students, surrounded by multi-agencies of police and media presence, to raise awareness to “stop the violence” in our schools.
She has held monthly meetings to teach the children how to be safe and had them fingerprinted with DNA kits.
She marched both Neighborhood Crime Watch and Youth Crime Watch members in our city’s holiday parades and brought Tropical Chevrolet representatives with their brand new Corvettes to parade with them.
She reached out to Governor Rick Scott who gladly came into our city to honor our police department at a local elementary school. Two mayors, a local commissioner, our city manager and entire council, school officials and three local police command staffs attended. It was the students’ first opportunity to be a part of a positive press conference, with media presence.
